We are seeking a highly experienced excavation lead who demonstrates strong safety awareness and possesses excellent technical knowledge of various excavation methods. The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing crews and operating heavy equipment, along with the ability to read and accurately interpret construction plans. They must also have solid decision-making skills, especially under pressure when quick judgments are necessary. A good understanding of local regulations and codes is essential to ensure compliance on every job site. Good communication is essential to work well with team members and clients. Excavation leads will commonly operate multiple types of heavy machinery while performing site preparation work for both residential houses and commercial properties.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in operating heavy equipment, such as dozers and excavators, on various projects.

• Understanding grading and construction plans.

• Knowledge of Trimble GPS and machine control systems preferred. (Training available if needed.)

• Ability to work within a team environment and make judgement calls as necessary.

• Willingness to work long hours as needed.
