Project Overview
The scope of work includes the removal and replacement of two substantial sections of concrete flooring, each measuring 12.5 feet by 28 feet. These areas were excavated to depths of 39 inches and 20 inches, respectively, to accommodate new structural foundations.
Key Construction Details
Demolition & Excavation: The existing concrete was saw-cut, removed, and disposed of, ensuring clean edges and minimal disruption to surrounding areas.
Reinforcement: Each foundation was reinforced with two 16-inch grids of #6 rebar, providing the structural integrity needed for industrial-grade loads.
Concrete Pouring: The new foundations were poured using a high-strength concrete mix ideal for heavy-duty applications, with s smooth trowel finish to ensure a clean, professional surface.
Thermal Protection: To enhance insulation and reduce thermal bridging, ½-inch foam will be installed around the perimeter of each pit.
