Nestled in the scenic landscape of St. Croix County, the White Pine Ridge Development is a thoughtfully designed residential project that blends modern infrastructure with environmental stewardship. Located in the Town of Somerset, this development is the product of meticulous planning by Auth Consulting & Associates and S&N Land Surveying, commissioned by St. Croix AR, LLC.


Roads & Access

The development features new streets including 35th Street, 38th Street, and 172nd Avenue, all designed with traffic accessibility and safety in mind. Signage includes stop signs, speed limit signs (25 MPH), and “No Outlet” indicators.

Stormwater Management

A standout feature of White Pine Ridge is its comprehensive stormwater system, which includes:

  • Wet Ponds

  • Infiltration Basins

  • Culverts: Multiple HDPE culverts with apron endwalls, designed per WisDOT and AASHTO standards

These systems are engineered to handle runoff efficiently while preserving the natural hydrology of the area.

Grading & Drainage

Grading plans ensure proper slope and drainage across the site, with engineered fill compacted to 95% Standard Proctor. Driveways and building pads are designed to maintain structural integrity and minimize erosion.

White Pine Ridge is committed to protecting the local ecosystem. Key erosion control measures include:

  • Rip-Rap Outfalls

All disturbed areas are seeded and mulched using WisDOT-approved mixtures, with special provisions for late-season construction and winter stabilization.

Construction Standards

The plans detail everything from pipe bedding and roadway cross-sections to biofiltration basin design and residential grading. Each element is crafted to meet rigorous engineering and environmental standards.

Behind the Scenes

The project underwent multiple revisions between March and October 2022, incorporating feedback from the Town of Somerset, St. Croix County, and the Wisconsin DNR. This collaborative approach ensured compliance, safety, and long-term sustainability.

project update: After completion

Following the successful completion of the White Pine Ridge Development’s infrastructure, our team commenced the next phase of the project: excavation and landscaping for the residential homes. This stage marked the beginning of transforming the development into a vibrant and welcoming community. With careful attention to site grading, utility placement, and aesthetic landscaping, each lot was prepared to support high-quality residential construction.

As of September 2025, a total of twenty-two new homes have been completed, each contributing to the growing character and charm of the neighborhood. The development continues to progress steadily, with several additional homes currently under construction and more planned for the near future.
