On the evening of January 18, 2023, a devastating fire broke out at the beloved Red Bird Music Store in downtown Osceola, Wisconsin. As flames quickly spread through the century-old building, multiple local fire departments responded to the emergency, including Osceola, Allied-Dresser, Alden, Garfield, and Shafer, MN.

J&S General Contracting was proud to assist the fire crews during this critical event. Our team provided equipment support and site access coordination to help firefighters safely contain the blaze and protect neighboring structures. Working alongside first responders, we helped clear debris and stabilize the area to ensure safe operations during and after the fire.

While the loss of Red Bird Music Store—and its cherished store cat, Beavis—was deeply felt throughout the community, we were honored to play a small role in the emergency response. Moments like these remind us why we do what we do: to serve and support the people and places we call home.
