This week, our crew kicked off demolition of our longtime office building to make room for a brand‑new, modern workspace. Our experienced demolition team—well‑known in Osceola for safe, precise teardown work—has been moving quickly to clear the site and prep for construction of our future home.
A Look Back: How We Got Here
Our journey at this location began in August 2012, when we purchased the property at 651 State Highway 35 and officially moved our operations to this site. It was a pivotal moment for our team—one that provided the visibility, space, and infrastructure we needed as our services and equipment fleet continued to grow. What began as a strategic upgrade quickly became the foundation for the next era of J & S General Contracting, giving us room to expand our excavation, concrete, and site‑work capabilities as demand for our services steadily increased.
Over the past 14 years, this property has served us well. It has supported countless projects, housed our expanding equipment lineup, and acted as the hub where our team planned, collaborated, and pushed our company forward. But with growth comes change—and we’ve officially outgrown the space that has been our home for more than a decade. Now, it’s time to make room for our next home: a modern, efficient office designed for the future of J&S.
Responsible Demolition Practices
As part of our commitment to environmentally responsible construction, all materials from the demolition were carefully sorted. Construction debris was separated by type, and tin along with other recyclable metals was pulled aside and sent to recycling—helping reduce landfill waste and ensuring that usable materials are put back into circulation.
Moving Forward
Clearing the old building is just the beginning. This demolition marks the first step toward creating a more functional, streamlined space that better supports our growing team, our equipment, and the expanding list of projects we proudly complete for our community.
